STEM CenterIndian River State College serves Florida’s St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River and Okeechobee counties as the premier institution for higher education, emphasizing quality, affordability and convenience.

Serving nearly 30,000 students annually, IRSC offers Bachelor’s degrees, Associate in Arts degree programs for university transfer, Associate in Science/Associate in Applied Science degrees for career education, Quick Job Training/Technical Certificates, Adult Education and programs for professional development, personal and cultural enrichment.

  • IRSC is the 2019 winner of the prestigious Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, an honor that recognizes outstanding quality in the areas of completion and transfer, labor market outcomes, learning, equity and more.
  • Over 59,000 students have graduated from IRSC throughout the College’s 59-year history.
  • Bachelor's Degree graduates are the most rapidly growing group.  Since the College began offering Bachelor's Degrees in 2008, over 2,900 students have earned a four-year degree from IRSC

  • The College's Public Safety Training complex is a 50-acre learning laboratory where future firefighters, law enforcement, human services and corrections officers train for jobs locally, nationally and internationally.
  • The Thomas STEM Center provides students with new opportunities for paid internships and employment in biotechnology. 
  • The IRSC Virtual Campus provides online learning opportunities, including degree programs, hundreds of classes each semester and student services.
