Welcome to Indian River State College, winner of the 2019 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence!

As the 'Top College in the Nation' and the Okeechobee and Treasure Coast region’s comprehensive higher education provider, state-designated career and technical center, and nexus of cultural and community activity, Indian River State College is pleased to welcome nearly 30,000 students to our institution annually. We take great pride in working to "positively impact lives by making possibilities a reality" for every single student we serve.Commitment to student success is a main reason IRSC earned the distinguished Aspen Prize, and I assure you, over the course of the 2019-2020 academic year, that commitment to students will be more evident than ever before. 

We want to do everything within our ability to help you succeed and achieve the goals you've set forth as an IRSC student.  Whether it's individualized advising or personalized guided pathways, mentorship and tutoring in our ASC labs, or applied learning, capstones, and internships in the real world, we strive to provide the experience you're seeking both in and out of the classroom.  Opportunities for our students are everywhere, and I'm confident you will have the guidance and resources to make the most of them.

As one of Florida’s state colleges, IRSC offers Bachelor’s Degree programs, enabling you to earn a four-year degree close to where you live and work. Maintaining our open-door policy, IRSC continues to offer the Associate in Arts Degree to prepare students for university transfer and the Associate in Science Degree, Associate in Applied Science Degree and certification programs for careers in the nation’s fastest growing professions. You can also get started by working toward your GED^®. Whatever program you choose, our faculty and staff stand ready to make your educational dreams come true.

Through a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore and grow, you will reach goals you might not otherwise thought possible. And, with more than 100 programs to choose from, you will find the education and career path that is right for you. In addition, the College’s emphasis on innovation and technology enables us to bring learning experiences to you in the time and manner most convenient to your needs.
