COP 2842 Developing Websites Using Python/MySQL

This course teaches how to create database-driven web sites using service-side scripting languages. Topics include introduction to PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) [HTML-embedded scripting language], working with data types and operators, building functions and control structures, manipulating strings, accessing files and directories, manipulating data in arrays and strings, working with databases and mySQL, manipulating mySQL databases with PHP, and debugging and error handling. Prior web design experience is recommended.
