COP 2000 Introduction to Computer Programming I

This course covers basic concepts of structured programming including: variables, data types, flow control structures, functions, arrays and pointers. Although it is an introductory course to the C++ programming language it is intended for those with no programming background. Since computer programming involves computational modes of thinking, students should have some mathematical and logical aptitudes to fully understand the course content. The course emphasizes the C++ concepts and syntax to write well-structured and well documented programs, problem analysis, and algorithm design.
