GRA 3209 Advanced Typography (U)

This course reviews basic principles and teaches advanced principles of typography through exercises and projects. Topics include typographic form and type-and-image in visual communication. Emphasis is placed on terminology, historical origins, form and compositional elements used while designing with type. Problem-solving skills, process and research are stressed. Graphic design principles are reinforced with projects concentrating on typographic detail.
