EMS 1431 Emergency Medical Technician Clinical/Field Experience (O)

This course teaches practical application of EMT clinical knowledge and skills under professional supervision in a hospital emergency room and pre-hospital rescue setting. This course provides for observation and patient care experience in an emergency room and in an EMS rescue vehicle. Course emphasizes the development of student skills in assessment and treatment of medical and traumatic emergencies. Successful completion with a �C� or better grade (C grade = 76%). Successful completion of EMS 1119C and EMS 1431, provides eligibility for Florida State EMT Certification Examination. Liability insurance required. EMS 1119C. Insurance fee $28.
