DEH 2806L Clinical Dental Hygiene IV Lab (O)

This final course emphasizes increased efficiency in the provision of an oral prophylaxis, root surface debridement and detoxification, comprehensive treatment planning and use of ultrasonics and air polishers. Critical thinking skills are emphasized during patient care to include evidence-based sequential treatment planning. Self assessment and application of professional ethical judgement is expected in all areas of clinical practice. Preparation for the state licensure examination and entry level employment is included. Lab fee $30.
