CIS 2381 Computer Forensics

This course teaches forensic concepts and techniques related to information security. Topics include computer system data recovery with a particular emphasis on computer evidence handling and computer crime detection. Students are required to recover data from computers that may have been involved in computer crimes. The students use and develop computer software tools to reboot suspect computers, detect evidence of computer crime, and preserve that evidence for later use.
