Nuclear Medicine Technology

Completion of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program leads to an Associate in Science Degree or a certificate of completion. Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certifying examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the national board examination given by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). The curriculum includes general education requirements as well as in-depth instruction in nuclear medicine procedures, pathology, patient care, nuclear medicine radiobiology, and physics. A competency-based clinical education component is conducted at regional hospitals.
