DIG 3375 Modeling Vehicles and Structures

This course teaches how to attach control mechanisms to structures and vehicles allowing the 3D mesh to be animated for use in simulations. Various methods and skeletal systems used in rigging and movements are explored. Students learn how to use constraints and related advanced software. Topics covered include implementation of computer imaging with mathematical models, representation and rendering techniques, rendering of materials, and photo-realistic production. Students examine methods to develop linked structures, collision detection, and particle animation.
