DSC 3079 Foundations of Public Safety

This course explores the history of public safety including the roles of law enforcement, fire services, and emergency management. It examines the evolutin of homeland security and the agencies involved; implementation requirements; and evaluation of public safety program effectiveness. Methods of researching program need, budgetary requirement, program implementation, and operational effectiveness are explored.
